That subject line might not be quoted exactly, but I loved Sister Oscarson's talk in general conference. It was a powerful reminder that it is when life gets really tough that we see the true strength of our faith. When we have to decide if we really believe in our heart the things we know in our head. I think between her talk, Elder Hallstrom's, Elder Oaks', and Elder Holland we got some powerful ammunition to keep us strong when opposition strikes. If I had a lot of time I would be tempted to say something about basically every talk, but unfortunately I don't have a ton of time!
This past week our main focus was trying to get people prepared and excited for general conference! It worked out well, I think we had quite a few of our people watching multiple sessions of conference, and one or two that watch who might not have been inclined to watch at all! So we were happy about that! We also had people invite their friends to come. I know of at least 5 people that were invited to come, none of them ended up coming...but our members felt good about inviting them so that is still a win!
The next couple weeks we are going to be going on a bunch of exchanges, so it will be super busy and exhausting, but I am excited! 4 of the 5 companionships we cover are training brand new missionaries so it will be an adventure!
Life is good though. Being a missionary gives so many opportunities to serve others, it is hard not to be happy :) I am so grateful for the chance that we had to hear from our church leaders, and I look forward to studying the talks for the next 6 months!
Love yous!
