As the weather cools down out here and is starting to feel like fall it's making me a bit trunky! Fall is my favorite season with all the fun hollidays, high school and college sports get going, and everyone gets back together for school! On a positive note though, fall colors was the one thing I missed in St. George compared to northern Utah, and I hear that fall in NJ is pretty breathtaking. So I'm looking forward to that, especially if they finally transfer me out of the big city. I think there is actually a good chance of that happening, but we shall see!
This week was good, but I've had a really bad cold that knocked me on my backside for a lot of the week, I'm hoping that it will start to finally go away soon because it's making it very hard to work and teach people when I have lost my voice and am always hacking up a lung!
We got two investigators handed over to us who were found and taught for a while by spanish elders in our area. They are awesome and one of them is actually on date for baptism in 2 weeks if we can help him overcome a couple things in the mean time. It is amazing to see that when we are working hard and not seeing the direct fruits of our labors, sometimes the Lord lets us see the fruits of the labors of others!
A teenager that the elders were teaching got baptized yesterday, his name is Ra-Zhone (pronounced like Rajon) and his grandmother is a ward member named LaTrenda. Just some fun Jersey names for you ;)
Lately I have been reflecting a lot on just how blessed of a life I have had, and I am so grateful to all of you for the role you have played in that!
I guess yesterday was "Grandparents day" so I just want to give a shoutout to my amazing grandparents! The legacy my McConkie grandparents left me is felt everyday, and I am grateful for the continuing love and example of living righteous, good lives that my Burningham grandparents continue to provide! Love you guys!
Love you all!
