Today I finally took Sister Wood to the boardwalk! We went with
Hermana Pace and Hermana Millington and it was Hermana Millington's
first time to the boardwalk as well! We have planned on going like the
last 3 Pdays, but it has always been raining so we postponed! Well, as
you will see in the pictures, it was raining today too, but we went
anyway and it was pretty fun! It would have been packed with people
because of memorial day if it weren't raining, so I guess that is a
bonus of going in the rain!
We had a fun ward bbq on Saturday for memorial day weekend, and it
turned out pretty good! Our investigator Dorothy came and brought a
friend and it seemed like they had a good time! Quite a few of our
ward members also brought family members that aren't LDS, so it was
good! Other than that it was a really slow week, very rainy, but that
is how the whole month has been! We were able to teach a few people
that we found tracting, but none of them were prepared to learn more
but hopefully in the future! We did contact one really cool guy named
Jason, and he seemed very open to our message and agreed to read the
Book of Mormon! Only problem was he lives in Louisiana and was just
here on vacation. That's ok though, it is all the same work!
This week it has just been very clear to me that this is the Lord's
work, and that no matter how hard we work we can't force anything to
happen. It is all in His timing and our job is just to be a worthy
instrument in His hands and be prepared for opportunities he presents.
I read in 2 Timothy this week and loved this verse in 2 Timothy 2:21
"If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel
unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared
unto every good work."
This week we will have MLC and an exchange with one of our
companionships so it will be a great week!
Love yous!
