This week was a little slow, especially compared to last week, but it
happens! Also I am having to write this from my iPad because the
libraries are closed, and my iPad typing skills are kind of slow so
this week's email will be a little short!
Highlight of the week was putting our investigator Robert on date to
be baptized on the 28th of February! He is the one that we met when I
first got to the area who had ordered a bible, and had been talking to
his son about how he felt like he should get baptized since he has
been a Christian his whole life. We were also able to have him join us
for a dinner with our bishop and his wife and then the next day we
gave him a tour of the church. It was kind of an overload in one week,
but these are all things we have been trying to do for the last month
but haven't been able to get ahold of him or he has been sick. He
doesn't feel ready to come to church yet because he hasn't been to
church in 35 years, and he is also shy. But hopefully we will be able
to help him feel comfortable and confident about coming soon!
We spent a lot of time tracting this week but weren't able to pick up
any new investigators. That was a little discouraging especially since
it is finally getting cold, but I know that we will see miracles in
some way!
We did get a funny tracting story out of all of our knocking this week
though! Long story short, basically the guy said he would consider
being a Mormon if he could have as many wives as he wanted and said
that he thought sister Gattud and I would be great candidates...
Love yous!
