Finally got a chance to take a walk on the boardwalk this week with our investigator who lives like 4 blocks away from it so it was nice! A little cold, but in the summer it is a complete mad house, so I will take some cold and less people! Plus it is the Jersey Shore beach so it would be a mad house of scantily clad, slightly intoxicated people...I'll pass!
Sister Brown loves taking pictures, so I will send a bunch of those! Sorry that I have been terrible at taking pictures that actually have me in them, but I think Sister Brown is determined to make up for a mission full of negligence in our one transfer together!
The investigator we went to the boardwalk with's name is Diane. She is actually someone that I had met and tried to teach in North Hanover, but then she moved into this area about 3 weeks before I did! Now that she is living here her living situation is way more conducive to the Spirit and she is doing great! She went to Kiernan's baptism last week and was blown away by the Spirit and quit smoking the next day! She has made it a week now and is going strong! Her baptism is planned for March 13 and she is stoked about it!
Kiernan got confirmed yesterday and it was a powerful blessing. She is going to do great things! We are having dinner with her and her sister tonight and now apparently the guy her sister was supposed to be going on a date with will be joining us...flirt to convert haha!
We had a mission leadership council this week, it was very good, and made even better by the fact that I wasn't sick this time! Sister Brown wasn't feeling well though :( Oh well, we are both surviving and somehow thriving at the same time! I don't have a ton of time to email today, because we only get half a pday. Saturday we will be going on a temple trip to Manhattan with Kiernan and some reactivated members to do baptisms for the dead. This ward is super gungho about family history work and it is awesome because they will all be bringing multiple family names to do! This ward is fantastic at using family history as a missionary tool and as a way to get less active members back involved and going to the temple. Good stuff! So we get half of a pday today and the other half will be going to the temple on Saturday! I'm excited because it will be my first time on my mission going to the temple with a recent convert!
Life is good. I am happy and loving doing the Lord's work. Sometimes it gets hard, but sometimes it is just wonderful and recently life has been falling in the latter category!
Love yous!
