So...the last 24 hrs. have been super psycho! Sister Baine and I were
like 94% sure that we would be staying together next transfer based on
the way president had been talking in his emails to us, but then at
10:28 last night we got a call saying that Sister Baine was getting
transferred to Plainsboro with Sister MacAllister and Sister Wood
would be coming to Manchester with me. Problem was that Sister Wood is
red-dotted (aka not allowed to drive mission vehicles) and President
Taggart didn't know that I am also red-dotted because of the accident
I got in back in January... So he said he would get back to us. Fast
forward to like 2 hours ago and we finally found out that those plans
are staying the same because I'm getting un-red-dotted! Woo!
Unpunished!
So Sister Baine and MacAllister will be STLs for zone 7 and Sister
Wood and I will only be covering zone 8 which is really weird because
I believe that would leave us only coving 2 companionships rather than
the 5 we have been. I don't know exactly what all is going on, but
that's my understanding of things so far!
Other than that this past week wasn't too crazy. We didn't have any
exchanges, we were just working on getting things figured out as a
companionship under the assumption that we would be together for
another transfer! Of course when you start feeling like things are
going smoothly then they have to change right?! Oh well. I think I
have come a long way with trusting in the Lord. It has been the
struggle of my mission to be ok with not being in control, but I am
seeing progress with that so that is a blessing!
Wednesday we had 3 meal appointments. First time that has ever
happened to me on my mission! First we had a lunch meeting with our
Relief Society president at a place called Atlanta bread, then an hour
and a half later the bishop's wife took us to a Chinese BUFFET, and
then we went straight from that to a member's home for meatloaf! Wow.
Somehow survived, although I'm sure both of our dinner appointments
would have preferred that we ate more, but all in all it turned out
alright!
On a less positive note, pretty much all of the recent converts we
cover are struggling. None of them were at church this past Sunday.
Some for health reasons, but all of them are not a strong
testimony-wise as they need to be in order to handle the things Satan
is throwing at them. Kiernan and Katrina got sucked into trying to
rationally understand everything in the Pearl of Great Price including
the facsimiles, and did some "research" online about it aka just ended
up super confused and questioning some of the basic things they
believe. So the focus this week is the Book of Mormon and the Prophet
Joseph Smith! Kiernan, Katrina, Diane, Irene, and Elena could use some
prayers!
Love yous!
