Survived the craziest week ever! The three exchanges were a lot of
fun! A brief summary of the chaos is about all I have time for:
Monday: beach in Perth Amboy for PDay followed by starting an exchange
with hermana Gonzales. She is Dominican and absolutely one of a kind,
so of course it was a grand adventure!
Tuesday: finished that exchange
Wednesday: zone conference followed by my exit interview with President Taggart
Thursday: weekly planning and a meal appointment
Friday: went on exchange with hermana Holguin. She is Mexican, but
lived in Texas for a while. She is still in training, but super solid!
We taught a new investigator named Gerald and it was one of the
coolest first lessons I have ever had! He was very open to our message
and is at a point in his life where he really wants to turn things
around and just do God's will. We are excited about him!
Saturday: did a cool service project with a youth group, finished that
exchange, and then went on exchange with Hermana Troconis. She is
about half way through her mission and has bounced back and forth
between the English and Spanish program, but it works because she is
Venezuelan and Spanish is her first language. That was a party! We had
some pretty mind blowing deep doctrine conversations!
Sunday: it was fun for sister Troconis to be on exchange on Sunday
because she got to come to the scotch plains ward, which was her first
ward! Finished that exchange and then had a meal appointment with
members. Conveniently one of the members is a chiropractor so he was
able to help me out with some shoulder issues I've been having :)
Today: had my departing trip to the Statue of Liberty :) Hence no emailing time.
Love yous!
